Give Now! 
Support a NHS student in need in a course at the University of Maryland.  Your support will allow a Northwood student to get a head start on achieving success in college.

University of Maryland Students:  
Undergraduate and graduate students can serve as a buddy for a dual enrollment student to help as he or she adjusts to taking college courses.
We also have a need for UM students to serve as tutors for all academic subjects on the Northwood campus.

Graduate students enrolled in the Master of Education with Secondary Certification program  may serve as student-teacher interns at Northwood.  Past interns have success at being placed in permanent teaching jobs at the school.

Faculty at the University of Maryland:
Design service-learning components for their courses, mentor a student participating in the dual-enrollment program, collaborate with faculty at the high school, or offer special lectures at Northwood.

You can earn service-learning credit at Maryland Day every April. Eligible juniors can apply for the Dual Enrollment program. Contact Michael Sullivan for more information.


Faculty at Northwood High School:
can arrange field trips for their classes, attend special lectures at the Northwood campus or at College Park, and collaborate with faculty at the University around particular programs or courses.
